It's a pleasure to work with such a committed group of individuals who and yet continue to dedicate themselves to this organization. A few of my goals as a BOD member include: Continuing to develop our collaborations with Congress, the NIH, FDA and Department of Education on issues of importance to our membership. Focus on specific legislative issues such as: newborn screening, stem cell research, Medicaid/Medicare and private insurance coverage. Further collaboration with foundations and other rare disease groups to expand research efforts. Expansion of awareness efforts.
